CHURT

Welcome to the Village of Churt, Surrey

Churt is a small village which stands on the A287 about half way between Farnham and Haslemere. It lies in the far south west of the county of Surrey, bordering both Hampshire and West Sussex.

Please use this web-site to learn more about our village. Use the links to find out what is going on and who is who!

The site will help keep you up-to-date with what's going on in the village. There are opportunities for local Clubs and Societies to keep their members regularly updated with forthcoming events and post a history of their victories for all to see, and a chance for local businesses to advertise for as little as £20 per year.

If you want to know more about the site and how you or your organisation or business may use it to your advantage then please Contact Us

Churt Parish Council is conducting a brief survey to establish Residents' views on the current bus service connecting Churt with Farnham and Haslemere. We would like to understand whether people would use the service more if changes were made in order to decide whether it is worth campaigning for improvements on behalf of the community.

The Link to the survey can be found at
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/S35TL2K

All responses will be treated as confidential.

If you prefer, you can complete a paper copy of the survey which is available on the reverse of this month’s Parish Council News letter (see the Parish Council page). Please either post your completed form to the Parish Clerk at Highbank, Hale House Lane, Churt GU10 2JG or leave your completed form with Kay Patel at the Village Store.

The Closing Date for this survey is July 31st.

The sponsored village walk in aid of St John's will be on 24 July. The walk will be in the Itchen Valley. Tea and cakes afterwards in the Church Room. Contact John and Jill Powell 01252 792815 for details.

A guide to Heathrow airport (www.heathrow-airport-guide.co.uk).  There is a page where users can check the status of their flight, whether it is cancelled, delayed etc which is very useful at the moment with the ash cloud issues and BA strikes.
