Churt War Memorial - Carol Hicks (01428 714098) organises a small band of willing volunteers to keep the immediate area tidy to ensure it is not only a fitting memorial but also an attractive village asset. It would be great to find one or two more people to help. The job is done on a rota basis and involves just a very few hours spread over the year. Please contact if you can help.

Do you have a collection of - well a collection of just about anything
that might appeal to 13 cub scouts (all boys)?  I would like to show
them what a "proper" collection looks like so that they know what they
should be aiming for when trying to get their "Collectors" badge. I am
looking for a collection that is well presented and where the owner can
give us a talk about whatever it is that they have collected. If the
collection is transportable then please do come and show us - if not
would it be possible for us to come and visit you? There is no urgency
to this request, in fact sometime during the Autumn would be great as
we cannot get outdoors at that time of the year. Please contact Richard
